As a female founded brand, we know firsthand the passion and resilience that goes into building a business from the ground up. Behind every product is a story, and behind every women-owned business is someone who has overcome challenges to create something they are proud of. That’s why today we’ve compiled a list of 5 women-led brands we’re loving right now.
1. All Dressed Up Dressings
Founded by Tess Reed in 2023, All Dressed Up Dressings features a range of bottled dressings such as ‘miso sesame’ and ‘everyday house’. Inspired by her mum’s recipes from her childhood, the and the disappointment in the selection offered in supermarkets, Tess took it into her own hands to develop the brand. The dressings contain natural ingredients so are not just delicious, but healthy too!
2. Bold Bean Co
Bold Bean Co was founded in 2021 by Amelia Christie-Miller and has since grown from a range of just 4 to more than 10 varieties available. Although she originally loathed beans, after discovering how nice they can be when produced correctly following a hangover in Spain, she decided she needed to bring this discovery back to the UK with her. Now, 5 years on, Bold Bean Co are now B-Corp certified and available in many stores across the UK and beyond.
3. Botivo
Founded by hedonist Imme Ermgassenin along with Sam Paget Steavenson in 2022, this brand offers non-alcoholic aperitivos. Their aim was to create a delicious drink that isn’t in opposition to alcohol, but rather in a category of its own. Botivo has since received multiple industry awards, including the Great Taste Awards, IWSC and the World Alcohol-Free Awards.
4. Oatsu
This brand selling a range of prepackaged, protein filled overnight oats was founded in 2019 by Lauren O'Donnell. She believes in helping others to start their day in a healthy yet easy way, after struggling to do so herself working in corporate London. Now, the company boasts a range of ready-to-eat and just add milk products.
5. Sexy pickles
After growing up in Canada and being spoiled for choice with all kinds of delicious gherkins, upon her move to the UK founder Lyndsay Summerhill was disappointed to find nothing alike. So, in 2023 she took matters into her own hands and made her own brand of pickles, now offering all kinds of weird and wonderful flavours, inspired by her grandmother Nora’s recipe.
Reflecting on this list, we are proud to work alongside other female led businesses in the industry and hope you join us in celebrating the amazing female founded brands in this blog and beyond.
P.S. You can find out more about our very own female founders and the products we offer here.
