The Ultimate Festival Drinks Guide
Festival season has arrived.
The outfits are planned.
The group chat is active.
Someone has already lost their tent.
And you're probably wondering one very important thing:
What are we drinking?
Here's our guide to getting festival drinks right, from pre-festival drinks at the campsite to the final song of the weekend.
1. Start before you even get to the festival
The pre-festival drinks are often half the fun.
Whether you're getting ready at home or setting up camp, cans are perfect for the journey into festival mode.
No glass.
No cocktail shaker.
No faff.
Just grab a can, get the playlist going and start the weekend.
2. Pack for the campsite
If you're camping, think about what you'll actually want to drink.
You'll need:
- Plenty of water
- Soft drinks
- Ice or cool bags where possible
- Cans
- Snacks
- Cups
- Bin bags
- A portable speaker
And importantly:
Don't forget to check the festival's rules before bringing alcohol onsite.
3. Make the campsite the pre-party
Before heading into the festival, make your campsite the place to meet.
Put the speaker on.
Get the drinks chilled.
Get the snacks out.
Everyone gets ready together.
Then head in when you're ready.
No rushing.
No frantic group chat.
No "WHERE ARE YOU?"
4. Choose drinks that travel well
Festival drinks need to be easy.
Cans are ideal because they're portable, easy to chill and don't require any mixing.
Pimentae cans bring the cocktail without needing to bring an entire cocktail bar with you.
Less stuff. More margaritas.
5. Plan your festival drinking around the day
Don't feel like you need to drink from the second you wake up.
A good festival day has plenty going on.
Morning: Water + breakfast
Afternoon: Explore + music
Pre-headliner: Grab a drink
Evening: Main stage + dancing
Late night: Find your friends again
And yes, someone will inevitably be wearing the exact same cowboy hat as you.
6. Festival outfits deserve a margarita
The rules are simple:
If the outfit took three hours to put together, it deserves a cocktail.
Go big with:
- Sequins
- Cowboy boots
- Face gems
- Sunglasses
- Glitter
- Fringe
- Something completely impractical
It's a festival.
You have permission.
7. Make a festival survival kit
Keep the essentials together:
- SPF
- Portable charger
- Sunglasses
- Earplugs
- Tissues
- Hand sanitiser
- Waterproof jacket
- Refillable water bottle
- Cash/card
- Your festival ticket
- Snacks
And a couple of Pimentae cans for the pre-festival ritual.
8. Most importantly, actually enjoy it
Don't spend the whole weekend trying to get the perfect photo.
Don't panic if you miss one set.
Don't spend 40 minutes trying to find the toilets without telling anyone where you're going.
Pick your favourite acts.
Find your people.
Dance badly.
Eat something at 1am.
And make memories you'll actually remember.
Festival season starts here.
